Abstract: It is important to produce the product with high accuracy and high quality. Manufacturing company needs to improve and develop every method of cutting on machine tools. The method of cutting on conventional lathe machine for ball and radius shape is not accurate and the production is taken for a long time. On the other hand, the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe machine have been using for cutting ball and radius shape, but those methods are not enough yet, because of the highly cost of equipment and production system. Therefore, the design and fabricated of new top slide for conventional lathe machine is needed. The accuracy of design is analyzed by Solid Works and is compared with the international standard values. The proven ball and radius shape cutting with conventional lathe machine by new method is investigated by several experiments. It is concluded the accuracies of the design analyzed by Solid Work (static and dynamic vibration) satisfy the standard values.
