Abstract: We propose an alternative solution to the problem of the communities which are currently faced in the remotes area of Timór-Lorosa’e. To access for water and sanitation, people need to walk at least 2km away. Introducing a ram pump system can be one of great solutions. Delivering water from water sources at bottom to the top hill to reach community as a final user by using this system. As a testing performance, the pump was installed in the laboratory level at the Mechanical Engineering Department, and it was also tested in the field at Aldeia Ailuli, Sucu Lete-Foho, Postu-Administrativu Same, Munisipiu Manufahi. In this research, 6 different capacity of air vessel were analyzed for comparing the operational conditions at locations. It is concluded that the air vessel with volume capacity 4558055 mm3 (4.6 litter) has higher delivered efficiency (η = 80 %) at laboratory. The results of the field test at Ulurba, Lete-Foho, Aldeia Ailuli, Manufahi Municipal show that the pump capacity is reached at 15m with water flow rate 5 liters/m.
