Assessment of Traffic Noise Pollution in Dili, Capital of Timor-Leste

Abstract: Traffic noise pollution has become a pervasive aspect of working and living environments in most urban areas of the world, especially those in developing country include Timor-Leste. Every year numbers of vehicle are increases it is problems of air and noise pollutions caused by traffic are receiving top priority attention and resources from governments, the private sector and the public all over the world as they struggle to control these negative environmental of transport. Noise is a prominent feature of the environment including noise from transport, industry and neighbors. Exposure to transport noise disturbs sleep in the laboratory, but not generally in field studies where adaptation occurs. Noise interferes in complex task performance, modifies social behavior and causes annoyance.
