Abstract: Queues of heavy vehicles that form in front of the gate of the Dili Port to enter the parking lot in the port area can result in problems and contribute to the queue lengths which can interfere with other traffic movement systems on Dili Metro Road, especially in the Colmera area. It is important to examine the queuing system at the nearby area gate of the Dili Port. Therefore, this study is to examine the queuing system and determine the alternative of increasing the gate service of heavy vehicle queues at the gate area. The main data needed in this study is the arrival rate of vehicles and the service time at the gate. The data were obtained respectively by using the national traffic data and observation by sampling, which was carried out at the gate of Dili Port. The observation was carried out on a full day of a week. The Queuing Theory was used as a method to analyze the condition.
