Fundamental properties of PET-Phalt Using Shredded PET Bottles as Binder

Abstract: Safe disposal of waste plastic is a serious environmental problem. The best way to dispose of waste plastic is its recycling into various products, including road pavement. Many studies have revealed that PET bottle has a great potential to be binder. This study investigated strength properties of PET-phalt or PET-bound concrete. Marshall stability tests were conducted for PET-phalt specimens under various mixture to optimize dosage of PET.
