Quality Evaluation of Reinforcing Bar in Timor-Leste Market

Abstract: Reinforcing bar is a significant component of concrete, which define quality, strength and stiffness of concrete. In this paper the quality of reinforcing bar was studied. The samples taken from different suppliers (Indonesia and Chinese suppliers) in Timor-Leste are investigated and evaluated. Yields strength, tensile strength and effective diameter of the samples were compared to the requirement value to the American standard.
