Abstract: Time-dependent changes of the wind speed in Hera Campus (East Timor) are analyzed by statistically in time domain and by spectrally (frequency domain) using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The wind speed can be modeled using the Weibull distribution function. The autocorrelation function in time domain shows roughly an exponential decay with one-day periodicity and the correlation time shows around 12 hours. The frequency spectrum shows nearly 1/f nature at high frequencies and a constant at lower frequencies, indicating the characteristics of low-pass filter in electrical circuit, which should be attributed to an exponentially decayed autocorrelation function.
