Weather with Tropical Cyclone Seroja Simulated with Numerical Meteorological Model

Abstract: The tropical cyclone Seroja brought historic disasters to Timor-Leste. The weather, especially rainfall and wind at the time when the cyclone attacked the country were represented with a numerical weather model. A rain band due to the cyclone is formed over Dili from April 4th to the next day, and it brought heavy rainfall on Dili. Suai also got heavy rainfall on March 31st and the next day. At that time, the cyclone came up to Suai and located beside there, and Suai was in the strong wind and heavy rain area near the center of the cyclone. The cyclone stayed around Timor Island long time from March 31st until April 5th, and it brought severe disasters to Timor-Leste.
